There are many community leaders who are here participating in Edge Esmerelda.

This is an invitation to current community leaders and aspiring ones to come together and talk with each other about their practice and experiences.

  • What community do you lead?

  • How long have you been a leader/steward of that community?

  • What have you learned over that time?

  • What are your/your communities learning/growing edges?

  • How do we understand our work?

One option for our time together will be to use Group Works Deck: A Pattern Language for Bringing Life Meetings and Other Gatherings to explore the patterns that we find in our work. [I have 14 copies of the deck with me and they can be purchased]

Kaliya Young (Identity Woman) is the host of this session.

She has spent twenty years stewarding the user-centric / decentralized identity technology community that has the Internet Identity Workshop as a core hub. Her work also involves interactive event design and facilitation with other network communities working on innovative solutions for the future. The last event she collaborated on with a client was What and How We Own? The Politics of Change produced by RadicalxChange and Dark Matter Labs.
